To say I have an undeniable infatuation with faux fur would definitely be an understatement! There is something that is just so effortlessly chic yet luxe about a faux fur ensemble. The epitome of 1960s, old-Hollywood glamour, but with a subtle Parisian flare. As an avid animal lover, I have never fathomed the thought of wearing real fur, and with a multitude of luxury designers along the likes of Chanel and Prada now going fur-free, the fashion industry as we once knew it is definitely evolving.

What I love most about faux fur is the versatility it offers in terms of colour palettes and styles. Not only does it look divine in the more dainty, feminine hues of ivory and pale pink, but it can also make a bold statement in jewel-toned shades such as burgundy and emerald. Depending on what you opt to pair it with, faux fur not only makes for a cozy, off-duty ensemble, but it also exudes elegance and sophistication – very Olivia Palermo-esque! Below I am breaking down three of my fave faux fur pieces – perfect for making a trans-seasonal statement.

The Ivory Faux Fur Vest:

If you know me, you know I LIVE for an all-ivory or neutral toned ensemble, and this vest is the archetype of Après, ski-bunny chic! Ideal for when it’s not overly chilly but you still need a little warmth. There is something that is just so feminine and timeless about a neutral-toned outfit, which is why I’ve paired the vest with a white, long-sleeve top, a nude, leather skirt and the most divine, suede, over-the-knee boots (another quintessential wardrobe staple!). Keeping consistent with the colour palette, I’ve paired the outfit with my Gucci Sylvie Bag – one of my all-time, fave handbags. Although I’ve opted for an all-neutral ensemble, this vest would also pair stunningly with denim or a pair of black, faux-leather pants. Accessories in gold tones would also make for a perfect, luxe addition.

The Baby-Pink Faux Fur Coat:

In line with my love of feminine, faux-fur outerwear, this baby pink coat from Steele is the picture of dainty yet chic femininity. Definitely a staple for cooler evenings, this faux fur number ticks both of my boxes in terms of comfort and style (terms that aren’t often synonymous with one another in the world of fashion!). I’ve paired this piece with white jeans, tan, over-the-knee boots and a nude, tassled, YSL bag – creating the ultimate Parisian, chic look. This piece would also look fab draped over a neutral dress with statement earrings and tussled waves – the definition of effortless glam.

The Silver-Blue Faux Fur Vest:

A more unsuspecting hue, this silver-grey, 1970s style faux fur vest gives me serious boho-chic vibes, and I am definitely here for it! Slightly longer in length than a typical vest, this piece pairs perfectly over a cozy, knit dress for an elevated, Spring look. The turtleneck also makes it slightly more luxe, making it the ideal piece for transitioning from a day to night ensemble. If the weather doesn’t permit bearing your legs as a feasible option, this faux fur number would also look fab paired with flared denim, a white or black top and a fedora – very Kate Moss, 1970s chic!
